Buxton Recreation will be hosting a Community Pot Luck Lunch on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 11:30 AM in the large meeting room at Buxton Town Hall. All ages are welcome. Bring something to share.
The Board is soliciting bids for a three-year contract for Winter Road Sand. Copies of the contract and bid sheet maybe picked up at the Buxton Town Office or email a request to selectsecbuxton@sacoriver.net. Bids must be submitted to the Board of Selectmen, Town of Buxton, 185 Portland Road, Buxton, ME 04093, in sealed envelopes clearly marked “BID - Winter Road Sand,” and must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Wednesday, March 5, 2014. Bids will be opened at the Selectmen’s Meeting at 7:00 PM. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The Fire-Rescue Department has openings for Firefighter/Paramedics. The position has been posted on the Buxton Fire Department’s website and on Jobs in Maine. The deadline for applications is March 7, 2014. For more information, contact Nathan Schools, Fire-Rescue Chief.
The Transfer Station has a job opening for a Booth Attendant. More information is available on the Town’s website and on Jobs in Maine. For more information, contact Greg Heffernan, Transfer Station Manager. The deadline for applications is March 28, 2014.
